Our masterplan for the Sport Ireland campus will create a new sporting destination. The project incorporates proposals for athlete accommodation, workplaces, cultural buildings and major new sports facilities, including plans for Ireland’s first indoor velodrome.
Throughout the plans, facilities for both high-performance and community use are combined to inspire local people to take part in sport and fitness alongside elite athletes. At the heart of the campus, new workplaces for Sport Ireland and other governing bodies will form part of a lively and social ‘sports village’.
The masterplan provides a framework for the delivery of sports facilities and infrastructure over the next 15-20 years, including improvements to public transport, new active travel routes alongside and a vision for delivering Sport Ireland’s climate goals.
